Artist information

Zehra Sonya (born in 1972, Limassol, Cyprus) is one of the brightest new generation Cypriot sculpture artists on the island. Sonya graduated from the Department of Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University in 1997. After receiving master degree, she became a member of the faculty of the Department of History Art and Archaeology at Eastern Mediterranean University.
Zehra Sonya has joined group exhibitions and open air sculpture workshops. She won the Accomplishment Award in the Competition that took place under the joint sponsorship of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Hacettepe University and Contemporary Sculpture Association in 1997.
